But that’s not all; Riot is finally delivering on its promise to supercharge the multiplayer experience. Whether you’re looking to dominate the ladder or command the table in a multiplayer showdown, the next era of the League of Legends trading card game is officially here!

Riftbound: Unleashed is Coming!

Riftbound Unleashed Booster Display

The next expansion, Riftbound: Unleashed, shifts focus to the wilds of Runeterra with a strong emphasis on jungle champions and environments. It introduces alternate rare rune cards featuring beautiful new artwork inspired by League’s iconic jungle camps.

Riftbound Unleashed Vault Bundle

To celebrate the release, players can look forward to the Unleashed Vault — a premium bundle launching on May 8th. It includes six booster packs, 36 basic runes, three double-sided full-art promo tokens, and two punch-out art dividers housed in a reusable storage box.

As of now, roughly 75% of the set (around 165 out of 220 cards) has been revealed, giving the community plenty of material to start brewing new decks. China launched the set on April 10th, while the global Western release follows on May 8th. The player base has already largely transitioned from previous formats and is deep into theorycrafting with the new jungle-focused tools.

Riftbound: Vendetta on July 31st

Riftbound Vendetta Jayce & Viktor

Following Unleashed, Vendetta arrives on July 31st and centers on the theme of rivalries across Runeterra. This focus will be reflected not only in the artwork and Legend choices but also in brand-new gameplay mechanics.

One of the biggest changes is the introduction of new rune pairings for the first time:

  • Fury and Calm (Red + Green)
  • Mind and Body (Blue + Orange)
  • Chaos and Order (Purple + Yellow)

These combinations are expected to shake up the meta significantly and open exciting new deck-building possibilities.

Riftbound Vendetta Vi & Jinx

Vendetta also expands the collectible experience with Showcase cards featuring famous rival duos. Confirmed pairs so far include Jayce and Viktor and Vi and Jinx, with Shen and Zed widely expected as well. These are confirmed Legends for Vendetta: Nasus, Renekton, Akali, Mel, Ambessa, Zed, Shen.

These picks perfectly capture Vendetta’s rivalry theme — Nasus vs. Renekton embodies the classic Shuriman brother conflict, while Ambessa and Mel’s tense dynamic comes straight from Arcane Season 2. Akali’s inclusion stands out slightly, but with Zed already paired with Shen, many speculate Jhin could emerge as her rival.

Riot is also launching Riftbound’s first two-player starter product: the Zed vs. Shen Showdown decks. Each box contains two ready-to-play 56-card decks, two booster packs, paper playmats, and a rulebook. Importantly, none of the cards are exclusive — everything will also appear in regular boosters.

Riftbound: Radiance on October 23rd

Riftbound Radiance

The fifth expansion of the year, Radiance, is scheduled for October 23rd. It explores “creativity and brilliance” across Runeterra and will be one of the largest sets yet, featuring a 180-card main pool and more than 60 Showcase cards.

Confirmed champions include previously teased Ekko and Seraphine, joined by the seductive Evelynn.

Radiance will also receive its own Showdown Deck product starring Seraphine and Evelynn, continuing the popular dual-deck format introduced in Vendetta.

With three major releases in 2026, Unleashed in May, Vendetta in July, and Radiance in October, Riot is clearly investing heavily in Riftbound’s future. The combination of strong thematic sets, innovative rune mechanics, high-quality Showcase cards, and accessible Showdown products shows a commitment to both competitive play and collector appeal.
