Riftbound Unleashed the third set of the Riot’s TCG is getting closer to be here! It dives deep into the jungle theme and the idea of “becoming,” perfectly captured by its cool tagline: “Power strikes from the shadows.”

Right now, about 75% of the set has been revealed (roughly 165 out of 220 cards). That’s more than enough to get a clear picture of where the set is going. China already launched the set on April 10th, while the Western release is scheduled for May 8th. Even with the staggered rollout, the community has pretty much moved on from the old format and is fully focused on brewing with all the new cards.

9. Brand New Legends in Unleashed
Twelve brand new legends join the game in Unleashed. Just like the previous sets Origins and Spiritforged, these legends bring unique mechanics and fresh playstyles to Riftbound. The Chaos legends currently steal the spotlight due to the color’s strong position. Several stand out in particular.
Kha’Zix – Voidreaver ranks among the most interesting additions. The new Experience mechanic turns the legend into a flexible midrange deck that grants buffs and movement triggers simply by playing the game. This design feels fresh and meaningfully different from previous legends.
Diana – Scorn of the Moon plays as a pure aggro deck. The legend can fire off combat tricks for free during fights, creating constant pressure.
Pyke – Bloodharbor Ripper continues the Chaos//Fury line. The legend excels at reusing enter-play effects for value and generates Gold tokens that help summon expensive units such as Ezreal – Prodigy and Fizz – Trickster.
Outside of Chaos, LeBlanc – Deceiver emerges as a potential powerhouse. Both champion units are very strong, while the Mirror Image ability allows players to double deathrattles, fuel cards like Baited Hook, or copy opponent units. Combined with Sacrifice and temporary units, the deck shows high potential and may rank among the strongest legends in the set.
Rengar – Pridestalker appears slightly underrated. The legend supports a fast aggressive style full of Ambush tricks, with units that grow larger when played. The signature spell Thrill of the Hunt also looks extremely powerful.
Not every legend reaches the same level of strength. Vi – Piltover Enforcer and Vex – Gloomist currently look like the weakest of the group, though they still offer some potential.
Overall, Unleashed delivers an impressive batch of legends. The new designs bring fun and fresh options across nearly every color, with LeBlanc and Kha’Zix especially likely to impact the meta.
8. Mosstomper
Mosstomper was revealed early and quickly recognized for its strong stats once it reaches 3 XP. The later reveal of Ivern – Green Father increased its value even further by supporting well-sized Dog units. The card serves as a straightforward and effective roleplayer. It is expected to see solid play in both Ivern and Master Yi – Wuju Master decks.
7. Bone Skewer
Bone Skewer is an extremely disruptive card that many players find concerning. It functions like an upgraded version of Hearthstone’s Dirty Rat by revealing the opponent’s hand and pulling a unit into play for immediate interaction. The ability to gain extra combat advantage at reaction speed with Draven makes the card especially powerful. It can punish tapped-out opponents by sniping key units and generating Gold, marking it as one of the more feared cards in the set.
6. The Ruination
The Ruination serves as Riftbound’s first true board sweeper. The card feels thematically perfect for the game. However, it comes with a higher cost than Dazzling Aurora and gives the opponent the first opportunity to rebuild their board. While its power level is still being evaluated, it remains a flavorful and welcome addition for League of Legends fans.
5. Headless Resurrection
Headless Resurrection is among the most discussed purple cards in the set. It allows Rhasa the Sunderer to access a large portion of the deck for just two energy, including powerful options like Brynhir Thundersong on the opponent’s turn. The card creates dangerous reaction-speed plays and enables strong enter-the-play combinations. Many expect it to pair particularly well with Pyke – Bloodharbor Ripper for explosive turns.
4. Star-Crossed
Star-Crossed offers high potential across multiple decks. The card allows players to rebuy their own key units like Ezreal – Prodigy or Fizz – Trickster while disrupting the opponent. It can be replayed immediately in the right setups, giving it both a strong floor and a very high ceiling. The card is predicted to become a major player in Diana, Pyke, and other strategies soon.
3. Bewitching Spirit
Bewitching Spirit provides strong hand interaction, though it carries a notable cost when used with Pyke. 1. The Overnumbered Poros Cards
The Overnumbered cards in Riftbound Unleashed highlight one of the game’s cutest mascots, the Poro. Instead of just one, the set brings six adorable Poro variants, all incredibly cute and irresistible.
These charming Poros include Pouty Poro, Lonely Poro, Plundering Poro, Veteran Poro, Mystic Poro, and Daring Poro.
