With Eevee being one of the most beloved Pokémon, it’s no surprise that Prismatic Evolutions is shaping up to be one of the most highly sought-after sets of 2025, potentially rivaled only by the much-anticipated Team Rocket set. Featuring over 32 special illustration rares, collectors can expect a low pull rate for individual illustration rares, which could contribute to a potentially staggering overall set value—possibly even surpassing Evolving Skies.
Seeing Surging Sparks prices climbing near MSRP during presales (and in some cases exceeding it when factoring in shipping), it’s entirely possible we’ll witness an even greater demand for Prismatic Evolutions. If you’re aiming to secure this set, acting early will be your best strategy.
However, we might also experience a Crown Zenith-style scenario, where Pokémon responds with heavy reprints to meet the demand. In fact, the first wave of Pokémon Center ETBs for Prismatic Evolutions sold out in a record 10 hours, even with a two-box limit per customer toward the end. If Pokémon was testing the waters with this presale, the frenzy did not go unnoticed. So, they certainly have every incentive to print this set to the moon.
With the Elite Trainer Box scheduled for release on January 17th, 2025, and additional products to follow soon after, the key question remains: which product should you get?
Let’s dive in.
6. Mini Tins

Usually, mini tins aren’t a top choice for sealed collectors due to their higher price per booster pack. However, Pokémon has truly excelled with the artwork on the Prismatic Evolutions mini tins. The full set featuring all the Eeveelutions is visually stunning and makes for an excellent display piece.
Each mini tin typically includes:
○ 2 Prismatic Evolutions booster packs
○ 1 metallic Pokémon coin featuring Eevee
○ Artwork card showcasing one of the Eeveelutions
That said, if your goal is to open a large number of packs to complete the set or to send cards for grading and resale, mini tins might not be the most cost-effective option. The higher price per pack and fewer packs per tin can make them less practical for pack opening enthusiasts.
5. Booster Packs

Since Prismatic Evolutions is a special set, it won’t have a traditional booster box release. If you’re looking to open a lot of packs early, individual booster packs could be a good option.
However, booster packs are more susceptible to damage over time, especially if stored improperly, making them less ideal for sealed collectors. While they are a lower-cost way to access packs, the lack of protective packaging can hurt their long-term value if kept sealed.
4. Collection Boxes
As of November 2024, the 12-pack booster pack collection box for Prismatic Evolutions has not yet been officially announced. If this product does get released, it will likely offer the best value for those looking to open a large number of packs while also obtaining exclusive promo items.
That said, current collection boxes are seldom worth it compared to other product options, as they tend to offer fewer packs at a higher price point. While they do include promotional cards and jumbo cards, the cost per booster pack is often higher than purchasing other products like Elite Trainer Boxes or booster bundles, making them less economical for collectors who prioritize value.
3. Standard Elite Trainer Box

If you live in a region where the Pokémon Center website isn’t available, don’t worry—you can still get the standard Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs) at a lower price point. While you’ll miss out on the Pokémon Center stamped promo, the regular ETBs still offer excellent value.
Each standard Prismatic Evolutions ETB includes:
○ 9 Prismatic Evolutions booster packs
○ 65 card sleeves featuring exclusive artwork
○ 45 energy cards
○ Player’s guide to the Prismatic Evolutions set
○ Damage-counter dice, condition markers, and a coin-flip die
○ Collector’s box with dividers for storage
○ A code card for the Pokémon TCG Live
These ETBs provide great value, offering plenty of packs and essential accessories for both collectors and players. For a special set like Prismatic Evolutions, the regular ETB is one of the best products you can invest in.
2. Booster Bundles

If the Pokémon Center stamped promo weren’t such a big draw, booster bundles would be the top choice for a special set like Prismatic Evolutions. These bundles focus purely on giving you packs, without any of the extra accessories you might not need.
A Prismatic Evolutions booster bundle typically includes:
○ 6 Prismatic Evolutions booster packs
Booster bundles are perfect for those who just want to open packs and avoid the extras. They’re compact, easy to store, and offer excellent value per pack. However, if your goal is to secure the exclusive stamped promo, you’ll want to consider the Pokémon Center ETBs instead.
1. Pokémon Center ETBs

Topping the list is the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box (ETB). Looking at previous sets like 151 and even the less popular Obsidian Flames, the collectibility of the Pokémon Center promo cards is unmatched. Collectors aiming for a complete master set often seek out these promos, driving up their value.
The Pokémon Center Prismatic Evolutions ETB includes:
○ 11 Prismatic Evolutions booster packs (2 more than the standard ETB)
○ 2 promo cards: one standard promo and one Pokémon Center stamped promo
○ 65 exclusive card sleeves featuring Eevee and the Eeveelutions
○ 45 energy cards
○ Player’s guide to the Prismatic Evolutions set
○ Special edition dice, condition markers, and a coin-flip die
○ Collector’s box with dividers for storage
○ A code card for the Pokémon TCG Live
○ The combination of additional packs, exclusive sleeves, and the sought-after Pokémon Center ○ stamped promo makes this product the best choice for serious collectors and investors
