Cygames’ horse girl franchise is one of Japan’s most successful gacha games, and it has grown into anime, a theatrical film and a global release with a very dedicated fanbase. The first booster has no special theme, but it is known for generous pull rates, and signed SPs turn up far more often than in most Weiss sets. Because they are easier to pull, signed SPs such as Sakura Chiyono O, Curren Chan and Kitasan Black usually sell for under two hundred dollars, so collectors buy this box to enjoy opening it or to finish a set of their favorite horse girl rather than to chase record-breaking cards.
13. Weiss Schwarz Premium Booster Lycoris Recoil
Lycoris Recoil is a rare original anime that became a breakout hit, and fans buy almost anything featuring the duo of Chisato and Takina. The theme of this premium booster is its artwork: every card was newly illustrated by popular artists, so the set feels like an art collection as much as a card set. The booster has no special theme, and collectors should know that its most famous card does not come from the booster packs at all: it comes from the Trial Deck+ released alongside them. That card is the signed “Ephemeral Existence” Mai Sakurajima SP, which sells for several thousand dollars and ranks among the most expensive Weiss Schwarz cards ever, while the booster’s own signed Mai SEC and SP cards are still strong chase cards.
8. Weiss Schwarz [Oshi no Ko] Vol.2
Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s dark look at the idol industry took off worldwide with YOASOBI’s hit song “Idol”, and Ai Hoshino became an instant icon. Vol.2 covers the 2.5D stage play arc from the anime’s second season. The chase is the “Idol” AGR, hand-signed by Ai’s voice actress Rie Takahashi and found only in first-print boxes, which has sold for five figures and has been ranked as the single most expensive Weiss Schwarz card.

The set has no specific theme but includes signed cards from more than 45 voice actresses, one of the largest signature lineups in Weiss, and it has been reprinted in Japan. The signed Mika SP is the top chase and sells for close to a thousand dollars, followed by the signed SPs of Yuuka in her gym uniform and Hina in her swimsuit.
4. Weiss Schwarz Azur Lane Vol.2
Azur Lane is one of the original ship-girl gacha games, and its lavish character art and skins look great on cards. Vol.2 marked the franchise’s return to Weiss with newly drawn illustrations and 41 signed cards. The chase is the “Grey Ghost” AGR, hand-signed by Enterprise’s voice actress Yui Ishikawa, which sells for five figures and is among the most expensive Weiss cards, while the Shinano and Roon SEC+ cards form the next tier.
3. Weiss Schwarz Goddess of Victory: NIKKE
Shift Up’s shooter gacha became a global hit on the strength of its character designs, and its first Weiss set drew huge demand from both the game’s fans and card collectors. The set has no specific theme and includes 38 signed cards, and it was reprinted in Japan without the AGR or the box bonus cards, so only first-print boxes can hold the top pull. That top pull is the “Victory for Humanity” AGR, signed by Rapi’s voice actress Yui Ishikawa, a five-figure card ranked among the most expensive in Weiss, and the SEC+ cards of Modernia, Anis: Sparkling Summer and Dorothy each sell for well over a thousand dollars.
2. Weiss Schwarz Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Vol.3
Re:ZERO’s dark time-loop story made Rem one of the most beloved anime heroines of her era, and the rivalry between Rem and Emilia fans still drives collector demand. Vol.3 draws mostly on the anime’s second season, and it was one of the first two Weiss sets to include the AGR rarity. Its AGR, hand-signed by Rem’s voice actress Inori Minase, has been ranked as the most expensive Weiss Schwarz card at five figures, and the SEC+ cards of Rem, Emilia and Echidna make the box exciting to open even without it.
1. Weiss Schwarz hololive production Vol.2
hololive is the biggest VTuber agency in the world, and because fans collect their favorite streamers rather than characters from a story, its cards have one of the largest and most loyal global followings in Weiss. Vol.2 has no specific theme but covers talents from the Japanese branch, holoX, hololive Indonesia and hololive English, and many of its cards were later brought back in the Vol.1 & Vol.2 Re:Mix set (an English reprint of Vol.2 was announced and then cancelled). Its 51 signed SSPs are the chase, led by Hoshimachi Suisei’s “STELLAR into the GALAXY”, which sells for thousands of dollars and is considered one of the most valuable Weiss cards without the AGR rarity, with the SSPs of Houshou Marine and Shirogane Noel close behind.
Tips for Buying Weiss Schwarz Sets
- Sealed: one box is a gamble, a case is the closest thing to a guarantee. Depending on the set, a box holds 10 to 16 packs and a case holds 12 to 24 boxes, and since Bushiroad never publishes signed card rates, plenty of single boxes contain no autograph at all. If you are chasing an AGR, stick to first-print boxes, because reprints like the NIKKE reprint leave the AGR and the box bonus cards out entirely.
- If you want one character, buy the single instead of chasing packs. It is almost always cheaper, and you get to pick the exact art rather than whatever the packs decide. Some of the most wanted cards, like the signed Mai Sakurajima and Albedo SPs, were never in booster packs at all because they came from Trial Deck+ products.
- Know the price tiers before you browse, and check a few shops. Signed SPs and SSPs of popular characters range from a couple hundred dollars to over a thousand, the top SEC+ and SIR cards sell for well over a thousand, and AGRs reach five figures. Graded copies cost multiples of raw, and the same card can be listed at wildly different prices.
- The cheap cards look just as good on a shelf. The unsigned version of the same illustration often costs a small fraction of the signed one, and PR promos and SR foils give you chibi, pixel-art and seasonal outfits for about the price of a coffee.
