Lorcana new cards from Attack of the Vine! have only been on shelves a couple of weeks, and the community is already buzzing hard. The set finally brought Monsters Inc, Turning Red, and Up into the game, and fans have been snapping up product faster than usual, making booster boxes tougher to find than in past releases.

Sales data shows this set is outpacing nearly every recent release except Wilds Unknown, with both flashy chase cards and cheap playables flying off the digital shelves. So which cards are illumineers actually chasing right now? Let’s count down the ten hottest names from the set.
10. Source of the Vine

This super rare hasn’t cracked the top competitive tables yet, but plenty of players are testing it out anyway in decks like Amethyst Steel Bots and Ruby Steel Evasives. Its ability lets you passively drain lore from opponents who quest without paying extra ink, plus it has a way to gain lore on demand for a bit more ink. On paper it looks like a slam dunk for grindy, attrition-heavy matchups, but being an uninkable four-drop holds it back a little. Right now it sits around $0.66 for a normal copy, and there’s a sense the community hasn’t fully figured out its best home yet.
9. Rapunzel – Escaping the Tower

This one-cost character caught attention the moment her Set Championship promo art surfaced, since a cheap evasive threat with lore upside is always worth watching. Her ability lets you discard a card to boost her lore and grant evasive until your next turn, which plays nicely with discard-matters strategies. She’s shown up in aggressive Emerald Steel builds and decks built around emptying the hand, though nobody has fully cracked the archetype yet. At roughly $0.52, she’s a cheap pickup for a synergy Ravensburger clearly wants to keep supporting.
8. Woody – Helping a Friend

Toy Story hype was already running high heading into this set, so a strong new Woody was basically guaranteed to sell. His ability lets you return a cheap character from your discard or play one for free, and it gets even better with a second Toy character on board. The catch is that this slower, value-oriented ability doesn’t always mesh with how aggressive Toy decks like to play. Priced around $0.60, it’s a popular pull that’s still searching for its ideal deck.
7. Maleficent & Diablo – Evil Incarnate

This rare has become a staple of the Amethyst Steel midrange decks that have been dominating early events. Its shift ability lets you bin five characters from your discard to cheat it into play for free, and once it’s on board, exerting it draws you a card every turn. Cards like Angel – Experiment 624 make filling the discard pile easy, so landing a free shift is rarely a problem. Sitting near $0.84, with the enchanted version reportedly a bargain at $170, this card has real staying power.
6. Omnidroid – Ultimate Iteration

Amethyst Steel Bots has been one of the biggest breakout decks since rotation, and this rare is a huge reason why. It boasts Resist +2 for extra durability, and shifting it lets you return everything underneath back to your hand for a burst of card advantage. Paired with Syndrome, it becomes both a resilient wall and an engine that keeps refilling your hand. Around $1.51, it’s proven to be a genuine best-seller thanks to how fun and effective the archetype has turned out to be.
5. Red Alert

This uncommon removal spell is quietly becoming a premium answer for early-game threats. It banishes a character with 3 Strength or less, and if you’ve got a Monster in play, your opponent also loses a point of lore. Sulley – The New Boss and Sulley & Boo – Scare Buddies make that bonus easy to trigger, though the card is strong even without it. At a low $0.25, it’s slotting neatly into Amber Ruby decks and looks likely to spread even further.
4. Scar – Created by the Vine

Beyond having some of the best artwork in the set, this legendary rewards you every time your Floodborn characters banish something in a fight, and lets you draw a card if one of your own Floodborn gets banished on your opponent’s turn. That means opponents are punished no matter how a challenge goes, which is a brutal position to put them in. The catch is that the format doesn’t quite have enough Floodborn density yet to make it shine. Priced around $1.04, it’s a card many expect to get stronger as future sets deepen the Floodborn pool.
3. Darkwing Duck & Launchpad – St. Canard’s Finest

This super rare brings a hard-to-remove Ward character built for combat, gaining two lore every time it banishes something in a challenge. That combination of toughness and lore payoff makes it a genuine threat that opponents have to respect the moment it hits the table. It’s given a real boost to the previously underrated Sapphire Steel Detectives archetype, and sales have outpaced expectations. At roughly $1.18, it’s proving to be one of the set’s sleeper hits.
2. Sulley & Boo – Scare Buddies

Landing just short of the top spot, this super rare can be shifted cheaply onto a Sulley, a Boo, or one of each, and returns any characters stashed underneath for free if it gets banished. Combined with Sulley – The New Boss, it creates a nasty resource loop that keeps refueling your hand even in the late game. It also works as a sturdy bodyguard for cards like Scrooge McDuck – Ghostly Ebenezer. Around $0.98, it’s been a cornerstone of the strong Amber Ruby decks dominating early events.
1. Gaston – Superior Archer

Topping the charts is this uncommon, which lets you banish a chosen character with 5 Strength or more the moment it hits play. Making that effect inkable turns it from a narrow tech card into an easy include in almost any deck. It’s the perfect answer to some of the set’s biggest threats, including Maleficent & Diablo – Evil Incarnate and Omnidroid – Ultimate Iteration. At just $0.64, it’s the best-selling card from Attack of the Vine! so far, and it’s easy to see why.

Attack of the Vine! has clearly struck a nerve with the Lorcana community, and the sales numbers back that up in a big way. From budget-friendly removal like Red Alert to bomb rares like Omnidroid and Scar, the set offers something for competitive grinders and collectors alike.
Demand for product has been unusually high, which speaks to just how well this set has landed with players. All in all, it’s shaping up to be one of the more exciting and well-rounded releases Lorcana has had in a while.
