New Riftbound cards are dropping every day as Radiance, the game’s fifth set, heads toward its October 23, 2026 release. The music-themed expansion brings nine new Legends, fresh mechanics like Deploy and Show Off, and plenty of cards that could shake up the competitive scene.

Some are cheap Commons and Uncommons that will become deck staples, while others are flashy Epics built to power brand-new champion strategies. Here are the 10 most exciting reveals so far, counted down from the least impactful to the very best.
10. Avalanche (Uncommon)

Avalanche deals 3 damage to every unit sitting in a base, giving Riftbound a clean answer to the token swarms Seraphine, Starry-Eyed Songstress is about to bring. It plays more like a sideboard tool than a format-defining card, but simply having it around will make go-wide decks think twice before overextending.
9. Coalesced Energy

At the end of your turn, Coalesced Energy recycles all your runes and channels four exhausted ones, which at worst refunds the power you spent to play it. It shines as a turn-one ramp piece in Renekton, Butcher of the Sands and could get wild alongside big power sinks like Chronobreak, though it will take some testing to find its best home.
8. Riven, Broken Blade

Every time Riven exhausts, she picks a new effect: buff herself, spend that buff to Stun an enemy unit, or spend it to ready again. Much like Draven, Vanquisher before her, a four-cost champion with no power cost can take over battlefields, although she has to fight Stellacorn Herder for the four-energy slot in most decks.
7. Resplendent Rostrum

Resplendent Rostrum exhausts to draw a card and channel a rune, and it gives a friendly unit +3 Might every time it becomes exhausted. Nasus, Curator of the Sands gets the most out of it, while bigger Orianna, Lady of Clockwork builds can turn it into an eight-might unit that pumps itself mid-showdown.
6. Consult the Heavens

For a single energy, this Reaction gives a unit Shield 2 for the turn and lets you Predict, so you can recycle a weak top card. That kind of efficiency makes it an easy include in hold-focused decks like Master Yi, Wuju Bladesman, Vex, Gloomist and K’Sante, Pride of Nazumah.
5. Bedeviling Stranger

This Hidden unit can bounce an enemy unit back to hand from any battlefield holding four or more units, punishing players who commit too much to a single fight. Paired with Switcheroo, it puts opponents in a nasty no-win spot and should become a staple in purple decks like Vex, Gloomist and Evelynn, Agony’s Embrace.
4. Runeblade Anvil

Runeblade Anvil banishes the top card of your deck when it enters and again when it leaves, letting you play those cards until your next Ending Phase, and it can destroy itself on command. With Scrapheap gone, it steps in as the perfect Detonate target and pairs with Pack of Wonders to fuel purple and red “miracle” strategies.
3. Chronobreak

Chronobreak banishes as many of your units as the power you pay, then plays each one back for free to the same spot or to your base. In Ekko, Boy Who Shattered Time decks, it resets units he cheated out so they no longer die at end of turn, while retriggering their on-play effects for extra value.
2. Trifarian Captain

This two-drop looks at your top four cards and draws a unit or gear costing 3 energy or less and 1 power or less, basically bringing back the banned Stacked Deck on a body. It slots straight into Kennen, Heart of the Tempest to find Nocturne, Horrifying, Seal of Discord or Fizz, Trickster, and it only gets stronger as more cheap units are printed.
1. Last Caress

Last Caress lets the next unit you play this turn, even from face down, go to any battlefield with a free buff, and it carries no power cost at all. It turns every hidden card into a threat anywhere on the board and even lets Evelynn, Agony’s Embrace score on the opponent’s turn, making it an easy three-of in every Evelynn list.

Riftbound Radiance is worth buying for far more than its gorgeous music-themed artwork. Collectors get one of the game’s deepest chases yet, from K/DA Special Alt Arts and six HEARTSTEEL Overnumbers to signed Legend Overnumbers that Riot has promised never to reprint. Players get just as much, with cards like Last Caress, Chronobreak and Trifarian Captain ready to shake up the competitive scene.
